There are many ways to get involved with the SDDC:
The SDDC has settled on a new routine for sending out newsletters. We meet at 2 p.m. on the second or third Thursday of every month (except December) at Urban Grind Coffeehouse, 3799 Park Blvd. It usually takes about two hours and involves simple tasks like folding, collating, and sticking on seals and labels. Most people can carry on a lively conversation while they are doing this.
If you would like to help, you can drop by any month. For dates, check the SDDC calendar or send email to (publications at sddemoclub dot org).
Voter Guide Mailings
Almost every election, the SDDC produces and mails a Voter Information Guide to members and constituents in metro San Diego districts. Depending upon the endorsed campaigns and other variables, the geographic area for a mailing may be quite large. That’s when we need everyone to help us mail the guides. If you’re interested in helping, just respond to the call for assistance or you can contact our Vice President for Political Action at (vp political action at sddemoclub dot org).
There are usually many upcoming festivals at which SDDC will have a presence. If you would like to help staff our booth, check out the calendar or contact our special events coordinator at (specialevents at sddemoclub dot org).
There are open positions on the SDDC Board of Directors. If you’re interested in learning more about serving the SDDC membership in a Board capacity, please contact the President at (president at sddemoclub dot org).
At our monthly membership meetings, we strive to provide a selection of beverages and snacks to the membership. Please contact our program chair to help with this small, but important, community service – volunteer to bring a snack or beverage by sending an email to (program at sddemoclub dot org).
